You’re clearly someone who brings depth, humour and care into everything you do.

Naming ceremonies

You might have never heard of a naming ceremony – so let’s have a quick look at why people have them!

  • New beginnings

  • Name or welcome a family member

  • Celebrate/share a significant moment with others

  • Transgender/new identity/coming out celebration

  • Adoption

  • Naming of a baby that has passed away

  • A family’s change of circumstances (e.g. blended families)

These ceremonies can be held anywhere – there are no legal restrictions.  This means you can choose the perfection that is right for you or your loved ones.  For example, a naming ceremony could take place on a beach, in a garden, in a country park or hotel, or even in your own living!

Baby naming ceremonies

Four generations of women, including a grandmother and a young child, smiling and talking outdoors in a garden setting with trees and a small shed in the background.

A modern, less conventional approach to baby naming ceremonies is for the family and close friends to come together in the child’s early life and assign either ‘guide parents’ or ‘name parents’.  You might choose to have people that are important to you named in these roles, using the ceremony day to outline what their role will be in the child’s life.

I will work with you to create a bespoke event that is super special and will be remembered forever!  Please contact me to discuss this further
